 Eligibility Certificate cards for National Health Insurance and Late-Stage Senior Citizen's Healthcare will be sent out

Notice of Eligibility Information and Eligibility Certificate cards valid from August 1^st (Friday) will be sent out in mid-July and onward. Documents differ depending on the linkage status of My Number Card and your Health Insurance Certificate. 　

■For those on National Health Insurance

Exemption and deferment of payment of National Pension premiums

Those who on National Pension Type 1 experiencing financial difficulties to pay the premium for National Pension due to the income decline or employment loss can apply for the exemption or deferment of the payment.

▶ Students of 20 years old and older can apply for “student payment exemption system.”

Children’s  Medical Expenses Subsidy Cards

Children’s Medical Expenses Subsidy Cards valid from August 1^st (Friday) will be sent out on July 18^th (Friday).  In case of not receiving them by July 25^th (Friday), please contact the division.

Eligibility

Residents of Kashiwa city up to the equivalent of high school students.

※Except if married.

Amount of co-payment

You will pay 300 yen per hospital visit, or per day of hospitalization.

※Free of charge for households exempt from municipal and prefectural income tax. Insurance prescription is free of charge for all eligible persons.

  During the summer breaks, exposure to the crowd of people increases and the risks of getting infectious diseases increases too. If your children are past the vaccination eligibility age, you will bear the full cost, so it is advisable to get vaccinated systematically.

▶40 years old and older as of 31^st March 2026

▶No planned screening in comprehensive physical medical examination (Ningen Dokku), general medical checkup arranged by the workplace

▶Never had this screening done in the past

▶Not undergoing treatment or follow-up for liver disease

Others

Hepatitis screening information and vouchers have been sent out to people who are in the age group of 40 to 80 years old (every 5-year age increments) as of 31^st of March 2026.

To prevent such accidents, adults must understand the risks and educate children about them. Let’s all work together to ensure children can play safely.

▶ Adults should warn children when they see dangerous behavior of children.

▶ Do not allow children to go alone to river or marsh where people cannot see them.

▶ Adults should never let children out of their sight when the children are playing by the water.
