For low income households, Rising Cost of Living Support Subsidy Payment, Kashiwa city

If the application form does not arrive by the closing date, the subsidy will not be paid.  Anybody eligible is reminded to make sure to send the application by the closing date.

Eligibility

Any household with registered address in Kashiwa city as of 1^st December 2023, and paying the resident tax levied on the per capita rate for fiscal year of 2023 for all the members of the household. 

※The household consisted of dependents only of tax payer is not eligible.

Amount of subsidy

70,000 yen per household.

The amount is the total of subsidy already entitled to (including the amount entitled to by the other municipalities) deducted from 100,000 yen.

Additional payment for a child

Additional subsidy payment of 50,000 yen per child is offered to the household with registered address in Kashiwa city as of 1st December 2023 and with the resident tax levied on the per capita rate exemption or paying the resident tax levied on the per capita rate only for fiscal year of 2023 (The household consisted of dependents only of tax payer is not included) and with a child born after 2^nd April 2005.

Reminder

Application for the subsidy may be necessary if the households have any changes in taxation status and dependent relationship as a result of the amended tax return.

Please send the confirmation letter or the application form in the enclosed printed envelop for returning the form by 31st May (Friday). (Postmark on the day is valid)

District Welfare Commissioners visit houses of elderly seniors to track if there are any concerns and worries in their daily life, and at the same time they offer the information on the health and welfare services.

Period　for routine visits

Between 15^th May (Wednesday) and 30^th June (Sunday)

Applicable elderly seniors

Anybody who is living in Kashiwa city and 75 years old or above as of 1^st April 2024.

※As a part of the “watch to care” system, they may visit the elderly seniors outside the targeted age group.

 

Test broadcast of disaster prevention administration radio

Around 11:00am on 22^nd May (Wednesday), test broadcast will be exercised. The 190 disaster prevention administration radio stations in Kashiwa-city will broadcast all at once.

Check the criteria for Child Allowance

Any household which the child allowance and special subsidy has not been paid because of their income exceeding the eligible income benchmark can be eligible for the child allowance if their income in 2023 is under the income benchmark. Please apply for the child allowance during May or within 15 days after the next day of receiving the municipal and prefectural tax notice or notice of tax payment.  When there are any changes in custody status, type of pension scheme, or career (becoming civil servant), the change must be reported.

　For infants, children including young generations such as junior and senior high school students, pregnant women and raising-child parents, “TeToTe”, a child-care support center, is open now at the vicinity of Kashiwa station.

Support payment for the seismic circuit breaker installation

Support payment to cover some part of the cost for installation of the seismic circuit breaker which prevents the fire with automatic insulation is offered.

Eligibility

Anybody living in Kashiwa city and owning a house (detached house) and residing in it.

Amount of Support payment

Two thirds of the installation cost
