　Closing date for the Rising cost of Living Support subsidy Payment for low-income households is approaching. Subsidy is not paid to any application received after the closing date. Please make sure to apply before the closing date.

 

Eligibility

Any household with registered address in Kashiwa city as of 1st December 2023, and paying the resident tax levied on the per capita rate.

※The household consisted of dependents only of taxpayer is not eligible.

Subsidy payment

70,000 yen per household 

Reminders

There are cases for the households with changes in taxation status and dependent relationship due to the amended tax return need to apply. Please contact the Rising cost of Living Support Benefit Call center, Kashiwa city for the application form.

Procedures

Please fill in the confirmation form and mail it in the address-preprinted envelop for returning the form by 19th April (Friday) (postmark on the day is available).

 Get your child vaccinated

   Some diseases which children can get easily affected are prevented by getting vaccinated. Please consider scheduling the vaccination following the list in the Vaccination logbook which you receive before the baby becoming 2 months old after the birth. You will be receiving the notice letter for the vaccination after the start of schooling in accordance with the applicable vaccination age. Please try to keep in mind to get your child vaccinated.

Routine vaccination of DPT-IPV-Hib (5 combination vaccine), DPT-IPV (Diphtheria, Pertussis (whooping cough), Tetanus, and inactivated Polio) and Hib is starting.

2 months old after the birth to 7 years and 5months old

Venues

Designated medical institutes for vaccination in Kashiwa city or cooperating medical institutes for vaccination in Chiba prefecture.

What to bring

Mother and child health logbook, health insurance card or personal ID with address of the person who will get vaccinated, and pre-examination questionnaire (you can use questionnaire at the medical institute for HPV vaccine and DPT-IPV-Hib (5 combination vaccine).

School Subsidy Program

　Subsidy for schooling is offered to the household with children in public elementary and junior high school in Kashiwa city and facing financial difficulties. This support is to cover the school lunch fee and some of the school supplies and school trips.

Reevaluation on Fixed asset will be conducted

　In the fiscal year of 2024, reevaluation of land and housing is conducted. Reevaluation is conducted every 3 years to review the appropriate fixed asset tax in accordance with the change of property value which is the subject to the property tax.

Support for price increase from school lunch money revision

　From April, school lunch fee of public elementary and junior high schools in Kashiwa city is revised in accordance with the rising prices of foods in recent years. During the fiscal year of 2024, the municipal covers the increased amount in accordance with the revision.  

 

School lunch is offered at the same amount of payment as now by the households

The municipal has been striving to offer the safe and good school lunch since the school lunch fee revision in 2009. However, the abrupt rising prices of foods in recent years put the municipal in the difficult position to maintain the level of quality expected in the school lunch. So that, school lunch fee is directed to be revised to higher price. Under the normal circumstances, revised fee should be paid by the household, but during the fiscal year of 2024, school lunch will be offered without increasing the burden of the household.
