Subsidy payment of 70,000 yen for the household with resident-tax exemption

Subsidy payment is offered to support the low-income households which have been affected immensely by the rising cost of living.

Eligibility

Any household with residency registration in Kashiwa as of 1st December 2023 and flat-rate municipal tax of all the members in the household exempted.

※the household consisted of only the dependents of taxable person is not eligible.

70,000 yen per household  

 

Households which had received a payment notice letter for Rising Cost of Living Subsidy Payment for Kashiwa citizen (30,000-yen subsidy for tax-exempted household)

Procedure

No need to register.

A payment notice letter will be sent out on 5th January (Friday)  

※In case you decline the subsidy support or change the bank account details, you have to register.

Please fill in the confirmation form and mail it in the dedicated envelop for returning the form by 19th April (Friday) (postmark on the day is available).

 ※Confirmation letter will be sent out on 18th January (Thursday).

Payment day

Printed in the Payment notice letter.

 

Will be paid approximately one month after returning the confirmation form.

Starting to accept the application for fixed-term use of contract for municipal bicycle parking lot for fiscal year of 2024

Accepting the application for fixed-term use of contract for municipal bicycle parking lot for the fiscal year of 2024 is starting. It is “First come, first served” basis. Please be aware that in case of any discrepancy or false declaration, the application is not valid.

From 9:00am 1st February (Thursday) to noon 26th February (Monday), on the homepage of Kashiwa city

 ※Payment is only by credit card or “Pay Pay” payment application on the smartphone

Apply directly to the bicycle parking lot of your preference

①From 6:00am 1st February (Thursday), application form and payment slip will be available at the main bicycle parking lot at each station. ※For Otsugaoka and Nakanohashi, application form and payment slip are available at Shonan Branch (1st Floor, Shonan Branch Office).

②Pay the fee at the convenience store.

③Bring the application form and the receipt to the main bicycle parking lot

Pregnant women, exempted from paying the premium for National Health Insurance of Kashiwa city

Pregnant women can apply to be exempted from paying the premium of the national health insurance during their pre and post childbirth. Pregnant women entitled already for the lump-sum childbirth and child-raising allowance do not need to apply.     

Duration of exemption

Four months after the month of childbirth or previous month before the expected childbirth.

※In multiple pregnancy, 6 months after the month of childbirth or 3 months before the expected childbirth.  

Eligibility

Pregnant woman insured by the national health insurance of Kashiwa city with her month of childbirth or expected childbirth after November 2023.  

※Stillbirth, miscarriage, and premature delivery in  childbirth after more than 85 days of pregnancy are entitled.

1st January (Monday)

※From 4th January (Thursday), at the desk of Health Insurance and Pension Division(1st floor, Main building of City Hall) and Shonan branch(1st floor, Shonan branch office)

Support a part of the cost for Pneumococcal vaccination for elderly people

Pneumococcus is the bacteria entering the throat and the nostril to cause otitis media, bronchitis, and pneumonia. After the fiscal year of 2024, criteria for eligibility will be changing. Those who wish to have the vaccination, please plan the vaccination at your earliest convenience.

Eligibility

As of the date of vaccination, must have the registered address in Kashiwa city and fulfill any of the following criteria.

▶As of 31st March, ages between 65 years and 100 years old in 5-year increments.

▶Between 60〜64 years old with grade 1 equivalent of the dysfunction of immune and function of   cardiac, renal, or respiratory system.

※Those who ever had a Pneumococcal vaccination in the past are not eligible.

As of the date of vaccination, must have the registered address in Kashiwa city and fulfill all the following criteria.

▶65 years old and older

▶Never had been supported for the cost of vaccination of same kind.

▶Had Pneumococcal vaccination for less than once

Be ready for the tax return procedure ahead of time

Filing and payment of the tax return for fiscal year of 2023 income tax and special income tax for reconstruction are from 16th February (Friday) to 15th March (Friday). Please note that additional taxes may be charged for returns filed after the closing date.

▶ On 25th February (Sunday), national tax receipts, consultation on telephone and issuance of tax payment certificates will not be available.

▶The Kashiwa Tax Office parking lot will be unavailable until mid-April.

※ If you need a stamped receipt, please include a self-addressed envelope for returning with an 84-yen postage stamp with your address and name(in Japanese phonetic characters)

▶You can fill in the forms of Municipal/Prefectural taxes on the homepage of Kashiwa city.

▶Even though you went through the tax return procedure, if you are identified for no-need for the tax return procedure for fiscal year of 2023, the form will not be sent.  In case you need the form, please contact the Municipal Tax Division.

▶Those who request a final income tax return do not need to request municipal/ prefectural tax return.

 

Points of precaution to remember in cold season

In winter, because of the low temperature and dry air, use of the heating devices increases, and it can be easily the source of the cause of the fire. At the same time, you get more easily the seasonal infectious disease.

Let’s think again how to protect yourself from the fire and getting the seasonal infection.

Install the earthquake-sensitive breaker

According to the data from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and the Great East Japan Earthquake, more than the half the fires were caused by the power supply after restoration of power outage. The earthquake-sensitive breaker automatically shuts down the power supply when it senses the earthquake until you reset. Let’s consider the installation of the earthquake-sensitive breaker.

Try to reduce the temperature differences in the house

Experiencing the sudden change of the temperature differences can affect the blood pressure and can cause the dizziness and fainting. Heating up the bathroom and changing area before taking a bath is one example. Reducing the temperature differences is an effective precaution to prevent the sudden change of the blood pressure.
